PRODUCTION
MAE Stage Productions will produce the very first Dutch production of In The Heights in 2021/2022. The piece will be performed in the original languages: English and Spanish.

The musical, by Lin-Manuel Miranda (the genius behind Hamilton) and Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara AlegrÃa Hudes, was nominated for no fewer than thirteen Tony Awards in 2007, four of which were cashed in: Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations.
THE STORY
Set in the New York neighborhood of Washington Heights, In The Heights tells the story of the lives, desires and dreams of the residents of the close-knit and vibrant Latinx community in the barrio, accompanied by swinging Latin and hip-hop music.
We follow the highs and lows of first-generation bodega owners, hairdressers, students, their families and more in a community on the cusp of change.
